Christmas Street Collections

In the two weeks before Christmas the Rotary collectors are a familiar sight in Shepperton and in many other towns and villages across the country.

Christmas in Shepperton always has Father Christmas and the Gnomes touring the streets to remind children, young and old, to get their lists ready for Santa.

Father Christmas (alias Pat Hodgson in the phot above) inspires young people with his stories of the North Pole and his frozen toffees.

Saturday morning shoppers don't escape the gnomes in the High Street either.  Unusual Christmas songs as well as traditional carols help the vigil.  Sheppertonians, as usual, are very generous in giving to our Rotary Charity collection.
