Shepperton Village Fair
The fair is held at Manor Park on the second saturday in June. There is a procession of decorated floats that goes down the High Street to the fair arriving at noon. The annual raft race takes place on the same day as the Fair. It starts at lunchtime, the articipants have to paddle from the Nauticalia Ferry following the old river course down to Manor Park. |

Richard Walsh's pitch (top left) featured film posters (at very good prices) again this year and did brisk business. The Club ran a number of stalls and also, as usual, gave several to smaller charities to do their own thing. |

The Mayor, Robin Sider, popped in to say hello. Sue, our expert, did a wonderful job of facepainting but had to meet an appointment late afernoon and handed over to Dick as there was a queue. |

Mike, like all of us, was pleased that the day went well and he thought about a high board dive into the Duck Pool before we dismantled the tower. |

We had a successful day and collected quite a lot all of which will go to Rotary Charities without any overhead costs or fees whatsoever. |

The lads in the club ran the ever popular slide-ride. We took turns to help, but above left and right we see on the left 'pushers' Pat, Brian and Richard and on the right 'catcher' Stan.

The Club, as usual gave space to local charities, this year joined by the Rotary Breakfast club in the Village - Shepperton Aurora Club. |

The Shepperton Village Fair was held on Saturday 14th June, 1997 The weather was splendid. |
|||||||||
|
The Rotary Club provided space and facilities for smaller charities and organised a slide and fishing pond for the smaller children. Right: The Rotaract Club had a stall of its own. |
