St. George’s Day dinner

In 2002 the dinner was held on April 22nd, the evening before St George’s Day. April 23rd is also the birthday of world-famous Englishman William Shakespeare, who also died on April 23rd. Avid Archers fans will also know that it is the birthday of father and daughter Philip and Elizabeth Archer. St. George is also the patron saint of Greece, but he wasn’t English (or Greek).
