July 3rd 2003 - Talk on Shepperton's History
The first evening of the new Rotary Year the Club heard a very interesting talk from Nick Pollard, President of the Sunbury and Shepperton Local History Society.

Nick concentrated on items very close to hand including the Anchor Hotel, Church Square, the Chertsey Road and Shepperton High Street. He explained the development and history of the area and referred to his own family who live and worked next to the river near the current Ship Inn.
Club members asked questions and if time had permitted the talk and discussions would have lasted for a very long time indeed.
