Glaucoma Screening

The event was advertised in the local newspapers, on local radio and by the display of posters in the area. The Village hall was set up with booths, our welcomers stationed themselves outside. The International Glaucoma Association set up displays of information and offered useful items, books and cards for sale. We registered the visitors for eye tests, they were given appointment numbers, offered tea and biscuits and magazines, papers and glaucoma leaflets to read.  Soon after opening we had a good flow of people to be tested.

Brian Ellis and his team worked in a friendly and professional way achieving one complete testing every seven minutes. We finished at just after 3.30 having seen 65 people and found five individuals who needed further examination.
